On September 14, 202, the University of Winnipeg honoured Geraldine “Gramma” Shingoose, Viv Ketchum, Mary Starr, Barb Guimond and Dawnis Kennedy in a “Blanket Ceremony”. In this ceremony, Tre Deleronde, dressed in combat fatigues, characterized himself as the “Protector of the grand mothers of knowledge keepers”.
Because of the harassment, intimidation, and assaults that Widdowson endured at the University of Manitoba and University of Winnipeg on September 25 and 26, 2025, and the breakdown of civilization that followed, she characterized these “knowledge keepers” and their associates as the “Winnipeg Zombie Apocalypse”.
The blanket ceremony was “witnessed” by Louise Menow, who also assaulted Widdowson on September 26, 2025.
It was also witnessed by Skye McLean, who vandalized Widdowson’s Spectrum Street Epistemology mats on September 26, 2025.
Widdowson’s attempts to hold the people who assaulted her and Daniel Page (Widdowson’s videographer) to account resulted in George Robinson, the husband of Melissa Robinson (the woman who helped to push Daniel Page off campus on September 26, 2025), distributing the following poster.
