On June 17, 2026, the Saanich Police Department requested a “Stay of Proceedings” for the Violation Ticket that was issued to Frances Widdowosn on December 2, 2025.

The Stay of proceedings was confirmed by the Court Registry.

The University of Victoria trespass documents were discussed in a December 3, 2025 post on this website.

On December 2, 2025, Frances Widdowson did a livestream before she left for the University of Victoria.

APTN covered the event on December 2, 2025.

Widdowson discussed her arrest at the University of Victoria on December 3, 2025.

On December 5, 2025, Widdowson filed a complaint against Logan Staats with Saanich Police. The police said that he could not be charged for stealing Widdowson’s billboards, but they could “talk” to him. The police implied that Widdowson was responsible for what happened because she was provoking people with her billboards.

On March 5, 2026, Carey Newman, the University of Victoria professor of who organized the protest against Widdowson on December 2, 2026, sat down with Sean Carleton (a University of Manitoba professor) and Paul Barnsley (from APTN) to talk about Widdowson’s presence on campuses.

A course recently has been developed by the University of Victoria library on “residential school denialism”.

The course, according to a participant, featured a book by Kristy McLeod and Phyllis Webstad (the person responsible for Orange Shirt Day).

On May 15, 2026, Frances Widdowson sent out an email to all the activists who were involved in the attempts to shut her down on December 2, 2025.

Only Steve Sxwithultxw replied, to which Widdowson responded. Sxwithultxw did not clarify if he believed the “remains of 215 children” had been confirmed at Kamloops.
