Murray Sinclair’s Strange Involvement in the Kamloops Case

On September 3, 2022, the researcher Nina Green sent out an email to over a hundred journalists.  In this email, Green documented the fact that Murray Sinclair appeared to try to impede an RCMP investigation of the Kamloops case.  Instead of encouraging Sarah Beaulieu to talk to the police about her findings (Beaulieu was the GPR expert that compiled the findings in a still unreleased report that there were 215 and then 200 soil anomalies in the apple orchard), Sinclair advised her to obtain legal counsel.  Green also has found evidence that Sinclair was in Kamloops in 1970 working at a hostel.  She raises questions about why Sinclair hadn’t heard about the alleged atrocities at the Kamloops Indian Residential School at this time, as he was living close by.

Here are the documents compiled by Nina Green that were sent to over a hundred journalists.  The first is a Standing Committee Report that appears to show that Sinclair tried to impede the RCMP’s efforts to investigate the Kamloops case.  The second is an interview referring to Sinclair working in a Kamloops hostel in 1970, and the third is a picture confirming Sinclair’s presence in Kamloops in 1970.

Murray Sinclair told the Parliamentary Committee that he “got a call…saying that the RCMP have now declared that a major investigation is now going to occur into the bodies that have been located in Kamloops…”.  Who called Murray Sinclair?

There is nothing “strange|” about Sinclair’s involvement in the Kamloops case, because he was informed of the potential presence of a cemetery on the grounds of the Kamloops Residential School in 2015 by Dr. Scott Hamilton of Lakehead University. According to the Report Sinclair received (along with his fellow TRC Commissioners, Wilton Littlechild and Marie Wilson), from Dr. Hamilton, entitled WHERE ARE THE CHILDREN BURIED?, quote:

DR. SCOTT HAMILTON: In the case of Kamloops IRS, the facility was transformed into a cultural centre (Figure 29) (Footnote 22) Online research has not yet revealed the cemetery at the latter [i.e. Kamloops; KB] school.

When you think you “know” (from Dr. Hamilton’s research paper, received in 2015 “in confidence” at the TRC) that there is a cemetery at Kamloops, and then obtain an apparent confirmation of graves via ground penetrating radar signals/anomalies, then you may foolishly report the “discovery of remains”, when you are only getting an apparent confirmation of a previously reported CEMETERY. Of course, cemeteries do contain the remains of deceased individuals. So it is an easy mistake to make. But it is not a good mistake to make when you are pretending to be “surprised” or “shocked” by such a so-called “discovery”! That is a fatal mistake to make — especially if there is no cemetery there at all. It is “fatal” because you are pretending to be “surprised” or “shocked” when you already know about a previously-known cemetery.

The quote is from Dr. Hamilton’s WHERE ARE THE CHILDREN BURIED? report on page 15. Kamloops is mentioned at the bottom of the first long paragraph. But, at the top of the first long paragraph, you find the 2nd so-called “discovery” at Marieval on the Cowesess First Nation in Saskatchewan. Online research confirmed that it was a known cemetery at Cowesess, unlike at Kamloops. The 3rd so-called “discovery” was at St. Eugene’s at Cranbrook B.C., which is also mentioned by Dr. Hamilton on page 15 of his Report (about half way down the first paragraph). Once again, online research confirmed that Cranbrook was also a known cemetery where the grave markers had been destroyed by a grassfire as acknowledged by their Chief. In short none of the “discoveries” were anything but known cemeteries where NEGLECT had resulted in the disappearance of previous grave markers — all 3 “discoveries” absolutely KNOWN to all 3 Truth and Reconciliation Commissioners 6 years before the so-called “discoveries” were ever made.

And that knowledge of those “discoveries”, before they were ever made, is a criminal offence when those in the know pretend to be surprised by such alleged “discoveries” — which is why Mr. Justice Sinclair wanted the “knowers” at Kamloops to “lawyer up”. The criminal offence is called “Fabricating evidence; no incitement to commit perjury”, which is contrary to Sect. 137. of The Criminal Code of Canada. It is a type E Criminal Code Offence with a maximum of 14 years in prison if you get caught at it. And when you are doing it to get money, or to promote hatred against an identifiable group, like Catholics, for example, then there are further grounds for criminal prosecution of people who do such things.

Sinclair is not shy about mentioning Dr. Hamilton, nor his report when both he (Sinclair) and Dr. Hamilton talk about Dr. Peter Bryce. Hamilton talked about Bryce in his WHERE ARE THE CHILDRED BURIED? Report, where Bryce attributed the majority of First Nation children’s deaths to tuberculosis in his reports of 1906, 1909 and a final book published circa 1920. Here is Sinclair’s acknowledgment of both Hamilton and Bryce on that June 3rd, 2021, “Emergency” Parliamentary Meeting after the so-called “discovery” at Kamloops on May 27th and Sinclair’s June 1st appearance on CBC to sympathize with shocked and grieving First Nations people.

    SINCLAIR (June 3rd, 2021):

    SINCLAIR:
They’re now in great pain as a result of this story, and they will
be in even more pain, because as we go forward, I’m sure we’re go‐
ing to discover additional places where bodies are buried and un‐
marked gravesites are found. More information is going to come to
light. I will begin with those thoughts.

[N.B. Of course “more information” is going to “come to light” because he was given that information by Dr. Hamilton. Sinclair continues…]

One of the questions that people in private conversations keep
asking me is, what has the government been doing about this to this
point in time? I point to the calls to action that we issued—calls to
action 71 through to 75, I think—in which we identified this as a
major issue that needed to be done.

The volume we issued as part of the TRC’s final report, volume
4, identified the work that we were able to do in the course of the
TRC. Even with the limited amount of research that we did, we
were able to safely say that we believe that there are several un‐
known burial sites that can be discovered and located with the use
of proper geological researchers and experts. Scott Hamilton, who
did that work for us, has indicated on the maps and the database he
was able to develop where he thinks those sites currently are. [End quote]

N.B. Where Dr. Hamilton KNEW they were, 6 years earlier in 2015. And here, again, is “Justice” Sinclair, talking (to the Parliamentary Emergency Committee of June 3rd, 2021) about Dr. Peter Bryce, who told both himself and Dr. Hamilton — once again 6 years earlier (via research on Bryce’s published reports from 1906, 1909 and his 1920 book) that the majority of deaths and known burials, ORIGINALLY WITH MARKERS, were due to tuberculosis.

    SINCLAIR:
We do know that the Bryce report disclosed, of course, that the
death rates in schools in Saskatchewan were somewhere between
25% in some schools, in one school, and 49% in another school.
That tells you that if this was the death rate in that era for those
schools, and if anything even approaching that 25% continued to be
the death rate in residential schools for any period of time, then that
was a huge problem. The Government of Canada would not accept
his report. It would not allow him to continue further studies and in
fact turfed him from the public service as a result of his information
and the fact that he insisted on continuing to talk about it. [Endquote]

COMMENT: It is complete nonsense that The Government of Canada “would not accept his report”. The Department of Indian Affairs published all of Bryce’s reports because he was the Department’s leading physician. And Dr. Hamilton cited Bryce’s reports in his report the TRC of 2015 on pages 3 and 4 of the report that Sinclair received from Hamilton.

When Hamilton cited that Dr. Bryce’s estimate of first nation’s children deaths was 8,000 per hundred thousand [an 8% death rate; horrendous by Dr. Bryce’s standards] up until about 1945, Hamilton footnoted that figure with, quote: ” 2 Canada, Annual Report of the Department of Indian Affairs, 1906, 274–275. ” So the government not only accepted his report of 1906, they actually published it according to Dr. Hamilton’s footnote.

Then when Bryce compared the 8% young First Nations children’s death rates with those children of European ancestry, again according to Dr. Hamilton’s Report to Sinclair and the other 2 TRC Commissioners, the rate for European descendent children was 430 per hundred thousand or .43 %. That figure was footnoted by Dr. Hamilton as quote: “3 Library and Archives Canada, RG10, volume 3957, file 140754-1, P. H. Bryce to F. Pedley, 5 November 1909.” Once again, nobody from the government of Canada was “not accepting” Dr. Bryce’s reports. But Bryce was told in no uncertain terms by his bureaucratic bosses that he was not going to turn Resisdential Schools into T..B. Sanitariums because medical facilities were Provincial Jurisdiction. Bryce was not pleased and he was “frozen out” — just given no work until he quit and wrote his 1920 book which was published about the CRIME of Canada’s Reserve System. Amazing that bureaucrats actually stayed within their jurisdictional borders back in the old days and dissenters were published.

Dr. Hamilton’s complete Report of 2015 is published at the TRC website — especially the reasons for the high death rates of First Nation’s children. But when Sinclair went on TV at the CBC on June 1st, after the Kamloops “discovery” and 2 days before his Parliamentary Emergency Report, he never mentioned 1 death from disease, despite knowing about those disease caused deaths from both Dr. Peter Bryce and Dr. Scott Hamilton — and also knowing the whereabouts of all of the subsequent so-called “discoveries” courtesy of Hamilton’s Report on neglected gravesites.

Murray Sinclair and his two TRC friends are actual criminals and fraud artists!

  3. This well-planned guilt hoax perpetuated by the TRC is creating an irreversible tension between the ‘natives’ and ‘settlers’ that is having a predictable outcome. Unless and until we find leaders who will reverse this process we are heading down the road to national chaos.
