Examining Len Pierre’s “Responding to Denialism” session

Examining Len Pierre’s “Responding to Denialism” session

On December 19, 2025, Len Pierre, the CEO of Len Pierre Consulting, posted a video on “Responding to Denialism in Professional Settings”.

Len Pierre Consulting appears to have over 30 employees.

The concept appearing over and over again in Len Pierre Consulting, which perhaps distinguishes it from other firms engaged in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion training, is “cultural safety”.

In his presentation, Pierre notes that a number of people participating “represent…local universities [and] colleges”. Therefore, Pierre is advocating incorporating this concept of “cultural safety” into academic institutions.

Len Pierre is also a professor at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. He claims to be a “traditional knowledge keeper” and teaches “Indigenous Studies” courses.

In his presentation, Pierre begins by asserting that “[Residential School] Denialism” includes “denying 215 and beyond” that were “found in unmarked graves in residential schools”.

He uses the definitions of “Denialism” from the University of Victoria and the University of British Columbia, which include a reference to “the rejection or misrepresentation of basic facts about residential schooling to undermine truth and reconciliation”.

Pierre then goes on to explain why denialism persists. This is because people engage in “resistance” because people fear challenges to their identity and want to “remain in comfort”.

The most interesting part of the sesson is when Pierre explains that “Denialism is a workplace safety issue”.

Pierre argues that, in response to “Denialism”, people should “respond with truth and calm” and “not debate” as this is a “colonial tool”.

Pierre then provides an example of how to respond with truth and calm and not debate.

The first question is about what to do when colleague resists territorial land acknowledgements because of the Cowichan decision…

One of the final questions asked is about how a social worker, who leads anti-racism training sessions, is supposed to deal with a co-worker who raised “some of the freedom of speech rhetoric related to Dallas Brodie’s attempt to be at UVic”.

This session by Len Pierre is incredibly disturbing, and shows where we are heading with “Truth and Reconciliation”. Aboriginal neotribal elites are demanding that we accept their verson of “truth” or be ostracized in the workplace and probably subject to a harassment complaint. Such censorship will result in increasing social conflict.

The session is even more disturbing when one considers that Pierre and his “team” have trained thousands of professionals. How much money has been spent on this racehustling and intimidation?

Finally, not only is Pierre “an professor” [sic], he also claims to be training the leaders of colleges and universities. He is doing this with no understanding of what “hate speech” is, or the academic freedom protections that exist in academic settings. It is this kind of totalitarianism that resulted in my work environment being poisoned and my wrongful termination from Mount Royal University.
