Frances Widdowson will be producing a video regarding the documents for her presentation for the event “Academic Freedom Destroyed: The Case of the University of Lethbridge” – to be held on Zoom on Saturday March 2, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. MT (4:00 p.m. Eastern). The Zoom link for the presentation can be obtained either from Frances Widdowson (widdowsonfrances at gmail dot com) or Robert Thomas (robert.thomas at uregina dot ca). The title of Widdowson’s presentation is “Academic Freedom Destroyed: The University of Lethbridge Clown Show”. Although “disrespectful”, Widdowson justifies her use of the words “Clown Show” and “clowns” because she argues that the University of Lethbridge should not be respected. It has completely failed in its academic mission – a circumstance that she will argue has been unfolding since the unjust suspension of Tony Hall in 2016, and is continuing with the Paul Viminitz firing and its aftermath in 2024.
